Riham Marii

Riham Marii is a specialist in international trade and investment policies and legal frameworks, with a particular emphasis on customs and trade facilitation, due diligence regulations, WTO-related matters, and digital trade governance. She currently serves as Senior Policy Manager at ICC France, where she leads and coordinates policy initiatives across multiple sectors, working closely with governments, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders. Her role involves actively engaging in policy development from a multilateral perspective, aiming to foster international cooperation for trade & development while ensuring acces to dispute resolution mechanisms.

Previously, Riham served as a government official in Egypt, working at the Ministry of Investment and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), specializing in international cooperation and legal specialist on International Investment Agreements (IIAs). She has extensive experience collaborating with leading international organizations, including UNCTAD, OECD, UNCITRAL and the World Bank, on a wide range of trade and investment policies, regulatory frameworks, and international legal standards.

She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English, with a working knowledge of Spanish, and has extensive experience across the Middle East, North Africa, and European markets. Her expertise spans trade finance, international arbitration, digital trade, and environmental policies, with a strong focus on enhancing trade competitiveness and fostering economic development through well-structured policy and legal frameworks.
